Using `git pull` in the AC root folder will fetch all updates for AC, not the modules. Using `git pull` inside the folder of each module will fetch the updates for that module.

`git submodule update` doesn't update the modules unless they're intentionally linked inside the AC repository - which they aren't.

You could easily create a bash script that'll cd into AC and each module and just runs `git pull` so it's a one-liner to fetch all updates.

`cd azerothcore-wotlk/modules/mod-autobalance
git pull
cd azerothcore-wotlk/modules/mod-congrats-on-level
git pull
cd azerothcore-wotlk/modules/mod-money-for-kills
git pull
cd azerothcore-wotlk/modules/mod-solo-lfg
git pull
cd azerothcore-wotlk/modules/mod-starter-guild
git pull
cd azerothcore-wotlk
git pull
sudo ./acore.sh compiler all`
