oh fair enough I was more looking for a 'thats a terrible idea' or 'could be possible' nothing too indepth I know you have to keep the server clean heh

That link provides details for repacks of other cores. You _could_ use those. Two issues there. 1) there is no telling what that repack runs on your computer. 2) none of those will be compatible with you existing database, which means you can't move over characters or account

Appreciated.. so far the advice here is that I basically can't move past WOTLK with my current core anyway so not sure that is a concern.. as for what else might be buried in the pack that is a fair concern

u could write sql script to migrate ur data to other structure but there is still issue that there are no good cores for post wotlk

yeah exactly ends me up in the same boat even IF I was able to figure out database scripts etc

Well either way I think I would like to keep the WOTLK I have now.. with a few exceptions ( ie. can't seem to do the tournament just auto kicks me off my mount constantly ) it has been really great
