If you're looking for a cheap VPS for testing and playing with friends or solo, Contabo comes to my mind. For anything beyond that, you're unlikely to receive a reply here.

When it comes to hosting and dedicated hosts, it really comes down to your specific needs.
Virtual Private Server is a great start when getting into hosting services like websites or small application servers, but it comes down to what it will be used for. VPS isn't always the best option at times.

This is where you have to use your internet IP so clients from the internet can find your server. You have to have the ports 3724 (authserver) and 8085 (worldserver) forwarded or open from your router / firewall.
