It gets updated very often and the worldserver needs authentication online to use. It has a free version too without bots and without fixes

Depending on the license, you can't charge money for a server or even not disclose the source code. It's not enforced, sadly, or maybe the open source projects would be further ahead than they already are. Selfish bastards.

Yes I think it is very scummy/selfish. Same with Tauri WoW they almost got all Legion zones working 100% regarding questing now but will not share their work..

There's no public server that isn't using an open source core, even if they applied many of their own changes, which makes the whole thing much worse in my opinion. If they spent 10+ years writing one from the ground up, sure.

And they have all these donor shops too even turtle wow have a shop now and I thought they never would have it. Its a shame they wont release their source either so no way to play it offline. Their custom content is really great, its a bummer one cannot play it offline in case something happens to turtle wow
