Looking to run my own beta for my live wrath guild, what would be the easiest way of giving everyone the same exact gear as live? Is there any api endpoint that I could use?

i would say even if there is api to get that data writing script for it would be more work than just giving everybody gm account so they can add their gear and learn professions since its only few ppl

It would be a whole lot more work, that's for sure. Especially since the equipment doesn't change every single time so there's very tiny adjustments and those can just as well be done by the players thsemselves.

I'm thinking that would be the best approach but also I'm looking at wowhead's gear planar at the moment to check if I could use their api to grab item ids

Correct but if I want to automate the process of giving out gear, I need a way to grab the ids through an endpoint
