it's better than nothing or trying to get people to use HeidiSQL and open up the MySQL Port. I'm puzzled by those that think it's ok to run an internet facing machine with MySQL port open to the world.

It's always possible to compile it on a different machine, you just need to put the effort into making sure all the requirements (and the correct versions of those) are available on both systems.

So you did a net/core and had issues? I thought about redoing it on this just to see how far down I could get it.

I always installed the minimal version of ubuntu and never had any issues.

20.04 is the best bet, just need to either compile Boost 1.74 (which is extremely easy) or grab it elsewhere which is usually more work for inexperienced users.
