I'd have to disagree, c#, c++, java, python, it doesn't really matter, code is code once you get the syntax down.

but c++ is arguably hardest language from high lvl languages

I guess because it was my first I don't see it that way... Java is my my crux. It's so hard going to a bloated thing like java after doing c++ / c# for years.

also a native linux user so never had to *do* anything to run code just make it and off I went.

So in a word no its not but rewriting everything isnt necessary either. I'm currently working on an Any Language Mod which will let you do whatever you want in whatever language you chose. Its slowly coming along. Should be capable of out performing the existing core once its done.
