it's also barrier to entry in assistance... I wonder if with modern hardware as it is, whether the wow server being C++ is truly necessary anymore

u dont rly want to make less optimize/performent code just bcs u can throw 64 core amd at it

might, might not, I mean there's a lot of ways to optimize performance while having code a lot easier to handle
I'm biased because C/C++ breaks my skull but I'd be curious to find any guides/examples on how the real basics of the core work

i agree c++ is quite big barrier for any1 new but it is reality and there is not much u can do about it...we could argue that it would be nice to rewrite it and there are many reasons why to do it other than language but there is 1 big reason why u cant and that is that it has 850k lines currently....it would take several years
