I don't know how mysql would handle the spam. If you insert a row every single time something happens, I'm sure mysql would take a beating.

i mean obviously not 1 query per 1 spell hit that is ridiculous but i admit its quite bad idea its way better to do it as warcraftlogs or rather new version of client which just slams it into file and then warcraftlogs parse it to something better to work with

I would look at storing actions and inserting them every so often to reduce the load on the database.

If you are certain that people will use the addon and send you the logs, having it all on the client side would work. I would just use a server-side module to do it since it would be easier for me instead of waiting for people to send their logs etc.

when im thinking about it its probably fine even if there is 100 ppl in 10 instances of 10 man raid at once its maybe 1000 lines across 10 files per second
