Yes and no. It probably helps in certain cases but since AC is emulating 3.3.5 and not classic, and things will be different with classic, so 3.3.5 *proof* is always the best way to do it.

im guessing that by doing 3.4.0 their goal is to not imply that it would be 1:1 with 3.3.5
