There's always the possibility that the DB contains graveyards that were placed by bliz, but then incompletely removed from the game before release.

good point, maybe go ingame and stand ontop of a spirit guardian to see if it works then?

I've always found it funny how well they managed to make the game look like it has a high production value, when you only need to look behind the scenes a little bit to see how much of an inconsistent mess of band-aid fixes everything really is.
