Windows is always more finicky though since not everything is automatically added to the env paths so you need to add everything required before you can perform specific tasks, unless the said implements are within the script created. It's just extra steps everywhere, which is why I never understood windows as a server os when I compare it to the ease of doing all forms of tasks on linux.

Just lack-o-Love it could all be automated if anyone felt like fighting with CMake long enough to doit. Just CMake and Windows Devs aren't really the same catagory. I'd guess no one that knows Cmake well enough cares to bother with Windows and No one that knows Windows cares to Learn Cmake

It's not so much cmake that's the problem for me but automating the starting and stopping of the processes. I mean, on Linux I can send commands to the server by sending commands through screen - so I can tell it to save or shutdown or whatever and I can easily kill the process. I have a script for 100% automation, something that can't really be done on Windows.
