If you manually compile OpenSSL 1.1, yes. If not, 21.10 is the highest that has the packages required.

Several packages required by AC also automatically install OpenSSL 3.0 meaning you need additional parameters when using cmake to point it to 1.1.

You said `Can I update to 22?` meaning you should have < 22 installed right now, no? That means it doesn't have to just sit.
