I have a clean install of ubuntu server (22.04) plus docker and am following the instructions here (https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/install-with-docker)... I hit issues immediately because all the scripts use docker-compose... I did a find/replace to change it to "docker compose" and everything installed ok but now I'm in a loop with the authserver starting then exiting with code 1.... is there a more up to date docker tutorial I should be following?

there are a few issues with docker at the moment and the people who can fix it are busy so probably easier to follow the traditional install

yeah I'm just reading through the stack overflow... there's an open post about the same issue with no response

I might give up and come back in a few months... I'd love to get a private server going for my kids but I can't risk it in my homelab outside docker... if it borks my wife's ability to watch Call The Midwife I'll be sleeping on the couch for months

maybe you could setup a virtual machine and do it in there

the next time I rebuild the homelab I'm going to switch to proxmox so I can do that... wish I'd done it the first time round but it was hard enough moving to docker

Try in a few days. Somebody is working on docker as we speak.
