I can fly everywhere except for dalaran right now, just trying to be able to fly in dalaran now. As it stands, I can fly into dalaran and continue flying for a few seconds before the server realizes I'm in a no-fly zone.

Just for the record, there is a compability layer (?) to allow classic clients to run on various vanilla/tbc cores. I'm sure it'll be updated to support wotlk classic, and someone might port a core to use the classic client but that's not a guarantee. The gain just isn't worth it enough to completely overhaul AC to support classic officially. The game isn't released yet so there's no telling what'll happen in the future.

there is just too much questions being asked about a future of a client that is still in official beta status even though its tbc ptr official right now. the client is still beta and we dont even have all raids and instances in it yet on the ptr
