but if you are not familiar with docker containers, then they are somewhat different to work with compared to legacy applications

Docker is fine, I believe it was said that someone should review the script for AC and it should work fine. I can't remember who said it, though.

On another topic. I wanted to install some modules on the server that have sql queries. Should I execute them one by one or is there a script somewhere that takes care of it?

Not sure for docker. Theres a command in linux for it

the issue with permission denied, as seen in the link you posted, is that the OS-side directory has some form of "erroneous" permission settings (could definitely be intentional depending on location). this is generally due to permission inheritance of the location you are trying to install to. one way to fix this is to set the correct permissions of the os-side directory, or just allow everything for anyone in those specific folders. this issue would be the exact same on linux.
