The worldserver is pretty much one relevant time critical thread. So more than 4-6 cores will barely help, if at all

Yeah, I guess if you implement a bnet-like system and split things up it would help to have more.

That doesn't help if say one thing happens at a time. I mean, a friend of mine has the 5950X and he rarely ever exceed 20% cpu usage because software just isn't built to deal with that much.
