I am trying to use a domain name in the `acore_auth` database. However, when I do so I get an error like `Could not resolve address thedomain.com for realm "AzerothCore" id 1` . The documentation only mentions setting an IP address in this table so I'm not sure if this is even supported?

It's supported. I imagine it's because the dns isn't resolving the address, usually because it's not pointing to an IP

can you provide us with more details so we can help? does it work when you try to ping or dig your domain name?
