The only way I know of is to restart the server to clear the cached maps, so that is probably the only solution. Not sure why you would attempt to run a server on a system with low ram though, but okay.

I don't see the point since ram is so cheap anyway and having a safe 16GB isn't hard. I have never used a hosting service though so that might change things.
