I think using a distro that has 1.74+ available from packages would be the best solution to avoid having to go through this. Of course, when you learn how to do it it's easy.

I could uninstall boost from my package manager and start over with azeroth-core. Or maybe I could install another distro on a new partition (got a 4tb hdd just gathering dust lmao)
