Networking-based question for the bigger brains. I modified the DB realmlist "address" entry to a DNS entry so I can access my server externally (works) but now I can't access it on my local network. is this where I would modify the "local address" entry?

When ahead and found my own ghetto solution. port forwarding my local traffic to localhost via ssh tunnel

Yes, local address should be the lan IP of the host, address should be the external address or domain name

On your lan computers you should use the ip in the realmlist unless you set up nat hairpinning or something similar on your router
