yes, the creature object is created with the data from the template, we can't change that during runtime currently

Gotcha. I saw the .reload creature_template command, but wasn't sure what it was actually doing

it works fine for 1) summons 2) creatures inside instances, as long as it is not a preloaded ID
all other cases require a restart unfortunately

One quick question since you're an expert:
If I insert entries into the *_dbc tables, will they overwrite what's provided by the DBC files?
