yes. I've started fresh a few times, i don't think the problem is with the code so much as what's installed on my system. This is an attempt to upgrade a very old installation.

not sure if this has anything to do with your problem, but i had lots different clang installed and none passed. i set it to just gcc/g++ and all worked, though its slow

Clang is fine. I'm not sure if the version matters, seeing as your version is 14 and mine is 11 I can't imagine that being the issue.
