I’m on Ubuntu, and I’ve been using the authserver and worldserver for some time now (installed using linux classic setup instructions) and when I went to update the core and all my modules, using cmake and “make -j” commands, it throws a number of fatal errors, and then shuts down. After trying to figure out what went wrong, I finally end up deleting my existing build folder, and then it builds properly. Do I need to delete the build folder everytime I use the make command?

generally, if there is a error when compiling from a freshly pulled commit, you delete the build folder and run cmake again

Compiling goes without a hitch. Even so, I end up getting fatal errors like: file such-and-such has been modified since the precompiled header such-and-such was built: mtime changed. Please rebuild precompiled header…. And it’s only resolved by deleting the build folder and running cmake and make commands again…

any time source code files are added or deleted, you must run cmake again

if the files are simply changed, don't need to do that

I do. Cmake goes off no problem. Make is causing the issues here. Should I simply not use cmake anymore?

make is the thing that's actually causing it to compile

That’s what I’ve been doing… running cmake and make after every update… and make throwing up fatal errors, and having to delete the build folder and run cmake and make again..
