agroing the felguard seemed to cause 2x crashes. i don't really have a way to run with an ide so just gdb on the server

we had that helper set up differently with tc, but since we rely on modulation we could apply what we had applied in tc to azerothcore like we wanted

i know editing the main code is strongly discouraged, but i have some friends trying to run a dungeon tonight -- think I'm safe to just add a null check there _for now_?
