Thanks for putting this together! I have not had the time yet to do it but I started testing it now. However I've never used WoW model viewer would you have a recommendation on a guide how to find all the stuff I'm looking for? Also found a version for wotlk does it matter if it's WOTLK or Cataclysm version? There is no download link for Cata in wowmodel viewers own site. Only Mists of Pandaria.

Yes WOTLK version will work fine, my apologies it is the MoP one that I use, not Cataclysm. Ill adjust it. The best way to find the models you're searching for are to reference existing items which may use the same or similar models. For example, in the case of your yellow tier sets:
1. I searched for the Heroic Tier 10 helm in Kiera3/database and checked the DisplayID it was using.
2. from there, I searched for that DisplayID in the DBC.
3. Then, I checked the name of the model which it was using, and searched for that name in the Search bar of WoW model viewer.
4. In the WoW model viewer bottom bar, you are able to change the Texture which the model uses via the pulldown.
5. When you have found the one you want, you can copy the texture name from this pulldown and put that into the correct texture field in the DBC
This is how I've always located names of models, I don't know if there is a more efficient way but its the best Ive found. If you are happy to wait a bit I would be happy to help locate the names of the textures you are after, as I wouldn't mind this set being available on my own server as well
