I'd recommend just teleporting players you don't want in Wintergrasp to Dalaran. It's close and a sanctuary so there isn't much that can go wrong. And the default teleport location is faction neutral

I don't know the inside outs of Eluna, but my impression is that Eluna crashing wouldn't crash the server

Maybe some overuse of memory. His error had something with mulitthreading threads crashing.
