any practical example?

We fixed it recently, although, the idea behind AC is that we should all contribute to the core (AGPL3) while keeping the customizations in modules (that can be licensed as you wish), which I strongly believe is the way we can continue keeping the open-source community alive.

Yeah I know what you mean, I thougth the same and eventually we fixed it by optimizing the scripts ( <@595620700706832414> knows). Eluna is running with 500-700 online players without any particular latency

Using the memory example, defaulting to preloading the world and not unloading isn't a great feature in a dynamic memory allocation practice, especially for services where you pay per resources used. In a monolithic, dedicated server setting it doesn't really matter much, but it's a somewhat archaic design choice that I don't agree much with. Not sure if it's the case anymore, but it was whenever I first looked into AC

I remember they worked on it, it was inherited from the Sunwell project

Indeed I would never removed the possibility to choose between preloaded or dynamically loaded grids

It's understandable, but for our use case especially since we don't use much of the blizzlike features, it's more of a negative than a positive
