Whats being mentioned there was told in your support-forum.
And out of many questions we get asked is hard to answer them all, specially those that may not have a exact answer.
The worldconfig has general settings for their aggro and range dont know about leash.
I don't know myself if they do or do not work. And if they do not work they should report so they can be fixed.
And at the same time, unlike I think TC, we dont have the unit's detection, leash and call for help ranges (to my knowledge) in the creature_template

Open an issue in github so we can track and eventaully look into or even another member may fix it and submit a PR or yourself.
