I don't want it to melee - I want it to follow the path I set for it and throw bombs on a timer.

if I set the script in the DB to npc_batrider, it works fine. but that obviously breaks all the trash bats.

well "fine" being does the path and throws the bombs. not all the way to pretty yet.

And I have no idea what you want to achieve. But if you want only one spawn to have a different script you can add it in creature table

Blizzard, in its ininite wisdom, reused a creature ID for both a ground-based trash mob and a flying boss summon that throws fire bombs. The trash mob has an SAI script and has its database AI set to SmartAI. I'm trying to override this at runtime specifically for the creatures I'm summoning, and use the `npc_batrider` Scripted AI instead.
