I know there is a config option to disable it, what I’m saying is that I don’t think that’s how it worked on retail

It's hard to judge because on retail it would be more rare that you'd get bonked.

that spam occurs safely by one of these options:
few people in the kingdom.
little players in dalaran.
That is a random event to a pj, on a server with a large population, it might convert you once a week, if you are alone in the kingdom in Dalaran, that is one of the causes of said spam
