I had issues with that before because the creatures die before the spell is cast, and dead creatures can't cast spells. Not sure if it's the same problem you're encountering

Ill try that Avarishd, though I find it odd that it would be required for On Death and not for On Aggro

Absolutely, I'm looking at Crystal Fang in LBRS, which should work almost identically to Mother Smolderweb, when they die they cast a spell to summon spiderlings.
Mother works properly, with the same entry for crystal fang it's just not having it :/

This is an issue in general with these things; when do you register the event? Pre or post? Ideally you'd have an event for both

That way you could choose whether the event should happen before or after death
