Hi here (I hope this is the right channel to ask)! Is it okay to treat classic wowhead as a source of truth for loot tables? For instance, if I would want to change a loot table of a certain npc to make it like it is in wowhead - would this be correct?

I have for loot issues. Both the classic wowhead and tbc wowhead provide some insight, and our best guess at values, provided we have no better source.
