Mind you I have no idea what any of it means, I just saw discussions about race asan etc, so I decided to install intel inspector and it is screaming out data race issues at me. Do I understand it, not at all xD But it probably aint good

I've thought about db configs previously too, it can go both ways honestly with pros and cons, don't really think either one is better than the other really

At least in a file I think it's a bit more user friendly with having clear comments and explanations right there with the config value. Doing that in a db is a bit harder
