And then what? What does it max out at? What happens when it does that? Does it stop growing at some point? Does it crash? Do you have performance problems? Are there actually problems or are you just worrying about the numbers? Why are you making it so hard for anyone to understand your symptoms?
Also, tell us about how you're using it. How many players have you got on and how spread out are they? 55Honey said above that 8GB of RAM use isn't unlikely if it's gotta load everything at once. The game data alone is 3GB before it's unpacked into RAM. "1.5 and climbing" sounds like you're getting off easy to me.
Growth isn't even bad just because it doesn't come back down. The server might well not load things until they're needed, but then keep them afterwards because why unload them just to load them again later? Waste of time! It only looks like infinite growth over a short time span, but that doesn't mean an actual problem. It's only a problem if you're having a *problem* (see my first paragraph).

I had 5 players on at one point and it climbed and climbed until it maxed out my ram to 100%. I think it was up to 4-5 GBs at that point
