You can create a pull request with the changes, and so people see the modifications you are making and someone can help you.

I can't force you to share it, but... never say never. I did many of the things I learned, thanks to other people correcting my bugs or directly making commits on the branches that I had abandoned. However, it is true that many people are going to use it and may never give you any contribution, but you don't have to think about them, you have to always think positively. There may actually be someone interested in collaborating, you never know. But the decision is yours.
