I was just exploring the services route because somewhere the documentation led me there (can't find it now, oh well (edit it's at https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/linux-c...stallation)). It seems like the better approach anyway is to use a restarter, which is what I'm trying now.

You probably want to look at the `debugging` section as well with Linux. The restarter and debug log creation go hand-in-hand.

Yes a small restarter job launched in a Tmux session is pretty common and will do the job.
