It's better because you can press tab to autocomplete or cycle through commands that match the name and you can quickly repeat the last command by browsing your command history with the up/down arrows.

You can also use the *repeat* command to repeat any given command for x amount of times.

I also have some usefull commands to import that I developped for Mangos at the time.
.reset mail : to empty a player mailbox
.reset items (options : bags, equiped, bank, all) : to delete player items depending on where the item resides.
