If you're trying to achieve cross server play then you should redirect players to a "shared" worldserver/instance server/battleground server or whatever, then that server should have access to both realms' character databases, but you don't really need a proxy in that design

You could also just do this in memory and the battleground server doesn't handle any form of transactions at all

You'd simply request object information from the world servers subscribed to your battleground server, and the world servers handle the transactions
