Sounds reasonable, how can I store something in „map context“ without adding it to Map.h/Map.cpp / without core edit? I mean I can take care that only npcs from the same map access a certain static variable in the npc script, but maybe there’s a better way?

In the end all I really want is an event related script that is definitely running while the event is active to handle the zone wide buffs or to load grids if e.g. players enter a zone. Until now I couldn’t find any existing mechanic to do this without any core edit ..

Smartscript / SmartAI requires a spawned creature in a loaded grid, conditions also do not seem to fit, in the end it would be enough to force load one grid on event start to get the whole thing starting

It still feels like I’m missing something or looking in the wrong direction
