GMs have a command called invis (go GM Invis) and GM UBER Invis (GM ision won't reveal you). This means they have a way to go invisible in such a way that even 'normal' GMs can't see you.

Not only this, but there is an account flag called FLAG_ADMIN, on top of FLAG_SUPPORT_EMPLOYEE and there is also an 'admin' color in the console.
