yep, totally understand that this is years of functions written by very different people at different times, not complaining. just trying to find one that works!

Just to increase the servers ability to scale with hardware without having multiple servers. My realm for example can have way more players if I have a threadripper hosting the server and im able to utilize all of its cores. The way threading works now is limited by map, this will give you a bit more finer control and higher scalability of the server without breaking out the map processing into another process/server
