Item 34833 „unlit torches“ on use will show a green Aoe circle to select the target area, but they shouldn’t. (Ideally it would just cast the spell with a fixed target or the caster as target)
I’ve trouble finding out where the information actually comes from that the item should show an aoe circle on use? It’s not in item_template as far as I can tell. Also not from the spell as the circle appears even if no spell is set in item_template.
Also when trying to fix this using a script (itemscript, spellscript) - they all get triggered AFTER the aoe circle has been placed, not on the initial click to use the item.
Can this be done using conditions or how can I approach this?

I'd say the function of the spell, what type of spell it is and how it's used, is loaded from DBCs.
