The only limitation i would see is that select tables in the world db are caches on the client end and would required a restart of the click and not a simple relog

Keira is a GUI program that the user (to my understanding) would create things imperatively, if they don't copy the SQL that it outputs.
They're describing more of a CLI tool that lets your write a YAML file defining "I have these NPCs/Guilds/Items/NPC text/etc" and they need to exist in a reliable way. If they don't exist, create them. If they exist but aren't correct, create them.

You can run the queries from Keira, it's not only a copy-paste situation.

I think their terraform reference is good. Terraform doesn't say "I will create a server in AWS", Terraform says "Does this server exist? If not, create it. If so, does it match my configured parameters? if not, fix it" and "Did they remove the server from the state? I will remove the server from AWS"

Correct. I just meant if they don't persist the full SQL code into a SQL file and the GameObject somehow gets changed in the database one way or another, it will have to be fixed/changed.

Is it really that much effort to copy the query and paste it into a file?

nobody said that it's a lot of effort to copy the SQL, I suggested it might not be something that everyone does. When I use keira, I save the SQL output to a file in `data/sql/custom`, without executing it from Keira.
IMO the draw is that yaml or whatever markup language is more readable/writable for some people than SQL and it might be faster than going through Keira.
I do personally agree the answer here is "why not just learn SQL and keep the SQL files as 'configuration as code'" but I can see why someone would prefer non-sql

You don't need to know SQL to know to paste the text into a file and store it safely
