Would be fine with GOSSIP_ICON_VENDOR if he had multiple gossip options, but if he's not intending to have multiple options it's much better to forego the script entirely

well, the script actually spawns the NPC and i can easily go back to havinmg it exchange items when required so ...

Sure, but changing the flag in the DB to 128 would just disable the gossip part of the script firing

I see how using a core's default vendor would help. But it's not the actual problem

I imagine the actual problem is client side behavior with auto-select for certain gossip icons
