If it isn't pre-defined, *one* option is to output it to the console window.

There are different log levels. I use error because that one always prints

so and each time i want to do smallest possible test or just show some data like this for debug or whatever i have to rerun build inside IDE which will recompile that part of code and start server again right ? thats quite time consuming process compared to scripting languages
