Anything you "Add" has to be done in Cmake Whether its a File or a Reference.

Then grab a version you can live with and do what you need to get your stuff working. Just know the next time you use Cmake it may wipe out your config and not ref the files you added

well so far my IDE is not even helping me that much bcs i just opened project as plain code there is no compilation setup etc (i suppose that is required for IDE to fully know whats happening in code)
