if their intention is to develop mostly master, i doubt it since you would have to revert srp6 everytime

Yeah I know, just laziness taking over.
Security wise it is "kinda" over the top, for private servers at least, never heard of any DB being cracked due to the encryption faulting
It's usually stupidity or misplaced trust.
Can never be too safe though I suppose
