if you provide a modified client with custom patch mpq's then that data is part of the download you provide. you can not include the listfile which makes reverse engineering the mpq a little harder, but not impossible

i mean as an example can you modify the custom WOW client from like any of the top 5 wow private servers, and use it as a base for your own project.

if you know how to reverse engineer things you might be able to get some client-side data, but you'd have none of the core scripts or functionality from the server side of things so it wouldn't help you all that much
