I manage a MacOS park as CTO in a company. It's a hellish nightmare that I wouldn't wish on anyone. ARM has existed as long as AMD. It has better single core performance but inferior multi core performance. It's just a different instruction set.
ARM is also poorly supported on many widely used softwares, especially in ML, such as FFMPEG.

The second you try to run any non-ARM native program, which is the vast majority of what exists today, performance will drop massively due to inevitable kernel emulation.

Yes there’s issues with docker4msc, but I haven’t found anything comparable in hardware, haptic and performance running windows ‍♂️
